This Tuesday is DARE graduation at 1:30 - 2:30pm for the 6th-8th graders. All grades and families are invited!

On Wednesday we have our entire school field trip to the Sunflower Pumpkin Patch! Students will be leaving at 9am and return to the school at 1pm.

Thursday is our high school shared celebration along with downtown trick or treating. TK - 5th graders will be going to the high school to celebrate from 9-10am, and then they will be joining the 6th-8th graders to do some downtown trick or treating afterwards from 10:15 to 10:45am. Students will be trick or treating at some of our local businesses.

Finally, on Friday we have our 8:30am awards assembly. This is followed by our Fall Carnival at 2pm that includes our fall dance. This event ends at 5pm.

Today is the start of X Days.

What is Siskiyou X Days?

Siskiyou X Days is a ten-day county-wide arts and culture event in Siskiyou County, California, designed to showcase the region’s rich artistic talent, and community-based creative expressions.

During the event, artists open their studios and cultural spaces across the county to engage visitors, share their work, and build connections between people, places, and creative practices.

By weaving together remote and unrecognized locales, the event aims to strengthen the local arts ecosystem and attract art-tourism into less-traveled corners of the county.

Explore the routes of X Days through this Guidebook.

We, at Dunsmuir Elementary, are ready to celebrate our local artist and share the artistic talent of our students. Feel free to explore local artists during these 10 days of deserved recognition!

It's that time again. sign-ups for the program go through December 5th. If you try to sign up after that there is nothing that can be done. This program is for all students who turn 5 before 1/01/2026 funded through Dunsmuir Elementary (equipment including helmets and transportation). We will have clothing on a first come first serve basis. The dates we have are 1/26, 2/23, and 3/6/2026. When signing up we had to cancel 3/23; we may have more dates that will be released in December. My name is Jas, I will be the coordinator with MichaelSanchez. My phone number is (530)859-8858. please call or text with any questions. If you are more comfortable with email you can reach me at jwilkinson@dunsmuir.k12.ca.us
I am including the link to sign uo here. Be realistic about your childs ability level. If they are beginners and haven't been on a lift the will NOT need an all mountain pass. If your child participanted last year I have the card for them. Looking forward to an amazing season!
