This year's Egg Drop was fantastic with tables of prizes for the kiddos, the raffle drawing for the families who participated in the parent feedback survey, and, of course, the talented creations by your students! Videos will be in the comment section on the Facebook post.

Order forms were sent home today. They have also been attached via email, on the Facebook page, on the website, and there is also a QR code available.

A Cut Above will set up on the Lower Playground and drop student projects from 75 feet.

A huge shout out to Jaime & Ruben at Old Skool Barbershop in Yreka! They donated their time and services to our students today. WOW! Look at those smiles! The students finished out their day with confidence and a fresh new 'do just in time for Spring pictures next week.

Hi all! Just a reminder that we have a few things coming up this week. We have the scholastic book fair that started today. Each student gets a book thanks to the Dunsmuir Rotary. If for some reason you're child won't be there let me know and we'll accommodate. We have Open House on Thursday, dinner (spaghetti) at 5. On Friday we have the egg drop at 11:30, always so much fun! Please let me know I'd you'll make it to dinner on Thursday so I can get an idea. Looking forward to an awesome week of events! This Saturday, Saturday ELO - Science Fair Prep. Who: K-8th grade students Where: Dunsmuir Elementary When: 8:00-5:00 tomorrow, 4/12/25 Why: Come join your classmates prep for the coming week. Science Fair and Recycled Art projects to be judged Thursday. Egg Drop activities on Friday. Additional activities include science related fun, canning, and woodworking on the chicken coop. ****All students who attend can earn one day off their absence record.****
The Science Fair is coming later this month. Bring them this Saturday and next Saturday, 4/5 & 4/12, from 8:00-4:00 to get their projects prepped. Stay as long or little as you need. 4:09-5:00 is clean up time.

Hi ski/snowboard parents! Tomorrow is our last day of the program for this year! Bus will be leaving the school at 11:30 and you will be notified when they are on their way home. The weather isn't going to be super crazy, but it will be COLD. Make sure to have them dressed appropriately and are diligent about keeping track of their gear. It will be a great day. Cheers!

DES Families, thank you for reaching out with questions. The Dunsmuir bus is running. It will pick up students roughly 90 minutes later than the regular time. The Mt. Shasta bus is not running.
The late start is still set for 10:00 a.m.
Pi Day activities are postponed until Monday.
