Hello parents and guardians! Get your pens ready. Students have been sent home with a challenge to show you the flyer highlighting the outstanding ELO program for the Thanksgiving break and to bring the tear-off portion back. When they gain your signature and a mark for yes or no, they will earn Goal Store tokens. These efforts help us plan for staffing and supplies. Thank you!
Join us in the SAFE quad on Monday, 11/18, at 4:00 p.m. for information on our new Ski/Snowboarding Program.
This meeting is for the parents and guardians of our Kinder-8th grade students. There will be information available after the meeting for those who cannot attend.

DES Halloween Schedule
These kids brought the positive energy to the awards assembly yesterday! Students from each class were recognized in areas of academics, citizenship, character, and attendance. We find joy in celebrating their efforts and hope their smiling faces brighten your weekend.

Didn’t these two students do a great job on the call home yesterday!?! One was a bit shy, but with some encouragement from classmates, dug down deep, found some grit, and met the challenge! Super proud of these two!

Our first dance of the year is right around the corner! Come on out Thursday the 24th and bring the family. There will be a DJ, concessions, and of course a good time. The theme is a Fall dance, costumes welcomed. Student Council is working hard to make the evening memorable.
Join us in discussing plans for our campus and programs for your students. Today from 3:30-4:30. We meet once each month and welcome all.

This is Breanna and AJ, your 3rd and 4th grade representatives.
Our students are looking forward to no school this Monday, October 14th, in honor of Indigenous People’s Day.
🏐Our volleyball teams have home games this Tuesday and Thursday. Games begin at 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday our 3rd and 4th grade students will go on a field trip to Turtle Bay.
✍️This Wednesday is also our monthly Parent Advisory Meeting from 3:30 to 4:30. This is a great opportunity for involvement.
🚌As for transportation, there will be no afternoon bus on Tuesday and Thursday.
Lastly, this Friday is a minimum day.

🚲This Monday at 1:00 p.m. we invite our families and community to our lower playground for an anti-bullying BMX show! The pros with Go Big BMX Air Show will be on campus doing tricks and flips while encouraging our student body to be good humans.

📚New to our program, each Monday-Friday, from 3:00-4:00 p.m., there will be in-person tutoring with Mr. Parrish. Mr. Parrish is our new 7th/8th grade teacher. All students are encouraged to attend.
🏐Tuesday and Thursday evenings we host volleyball games at 5:00 p.m. our concessions menu is awesome and we now accept Venmo.🍕🍔🌭🥤Bring the family and enjoy dinner while cheering on your athletes!
🚴Wednesday is Ride-Your-Bike-To-School Day. Our Biking Club also meets on Wednesday afternoons through our SAFE Program and Shasta Gravity.
🏞️Thursday our k-2nd grades go on a field trip to Castle Craigs River Trail.
🌱Friday our K-4th graders will take a field trip to Hunter’s Orchard Pumpkin Patch.

🐾Tuesday, 10/1, is dress like your favorite teacher or staff member day.

🏐Thursday, 10/3, is 90’s day, plus our volleyball teams play at home against Golden Eagle at 5:00 p.m. Bring the family out to support our athletes and enjoy the concessions. There is no afternoon bus to Mt. Shasta.
💕Friday, 10/4, is pajama day. Blankets are okay.
