TRANSPORTATION/WEATHER UPDATE: The Central Dunsmuir bus will be departing D.E.S. at 3:35 today due to snow. The Mt. Shasta bus will be departing shortly thereafter. Please be patient with drivers as road conditions may delay their timing.

D.E.S. WEATHER & EARLY RELEASE UPDATE: Due to weather conditions, we are having an early release. Students will be dismissed from their classes at 1:30. Students who are not needing to stay in SAFE or those riding the bus are to be picked up at 1:30. There will be one Dunsmuir bus run departing DES at 1:40 and one Mt. Shasta bus departing at 12:45. Due to weather conditions, Dunsmuir Elementary will have a LATE START. School will begin at 10:00. The bus will run approximately 1.5 hours later than usual. There will no longer be a minimum day today. Classes will be dismissed at the regular time.

Tomorrow, February 24th, we will have a LATE START. School will begin at 10:00am. The morning bus will run 1.5 hours later than usual. The afternoon bus will be running at 2:50pm. SAFE will be available. If a snow day is called, we will notify everyone in the morning.

JANUARY 2023 MENUS
ELO Parents: Please do not drop off children before 8:00. There is no supervision for students before this time. All students must be picked up at or before 4:00.
Wildcat Families: Great Northern Services has provided all of our families with healthy food/snack bags for the extended school break. These bags will be sent home with students tomorrow. They can be heavy. If you are able to pick them up, please do so. If you have any questions, please call Kelli in the office.
Due to the weather and transportation concerns, we are having an early dismissal and an early bus run today. All students will be released at 1:30. The bus will start loading at 1:30 and 1:45. Please be patient as weather conditions will slow down travel time. If you would like your child to stay in SAFE, it will still be available. We are not permitting students to walk home at this time.
the DES Santa Store opens Monday! Donations are still needed for wrapping items, especially tape and wrapping paper! Gently used items are greatly appreciated as well. Happy shopping!
